In 1969 defended his diploma at the Philological Faculty, and later at the Faculty of Economics and Commerce, at the University of Catania. 
From 1970 to 1989 was a professor at the Faculty of Economics and Commerce at the University of Verona. 
Since 1995 has been accredited by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation (The Bank of Russia) as Head of the Moscow representative office of the Banco Ambrosiano Veneto. The Banca Intesa SpA was later formed based on this company, and is today known as the Intesa Sanpaolo Group.

A television producer, journalist and broadcaster, he is holder of both the Order of Merit for coverage of the fighting in the Chechen Republic, and the Order of Friendship for his substantial contribution to the development of domestic broadcasting.

Steve Continues to work for social justice, equality, and the environment; working with or consulting for on a pro-bono basis, environmental and labor organizations, candidates for political office who demonstrate a commitment to social justice and ecology, as well as indigenous groups and tribal governments. Has also been the author of many articles on social justice, environmental economics, primers in economics for social activists, and the economies of indigenous and aboriginal peoples as alternative economic systems, in numerous on-line journals such as Journal of Globalization for the Common Good as well as printed journals such as Kosmos.
